
Tony Gosden spent most of his career with the Intel Corporation, a Fortune 100 company and retired in March of 2007 as Vice President of Finance/Director Corporate Credit .
His initial successful management roles in the UK, HK, and Paris not only led to the worldwide responsibility for credit, but also gave him an in depth knowledge of the various emerging markets. During this time business in Russia,Eastern Europe, China,SE Asia and Latin America was extensively developed.
In addition to understanding the markets he was an advocate of having strong credit partnerships with customers much as a sales organization would have. He developed strong face- to- face relationships with many OEM and Channel customers, visiting them regularly during his travels.
He conducted speaking engagements at customer day events for a number of leading global financial services providers and credit institutes. Tony attended advanced finance leadership courses both internally and at INSEAD in Fontainbleu France.
Tony managed a team of around 90 credit and collection professionals stationed in different parts of the world, including Moscow,Beijing,Shanghai,Hong Kong, Taipei,Tokyo,São Paulo etc. He also developed a reputation for growing strong, successful and motivated organizations. He strongly believes that well trained and motivated people bring success to an organization.
He oversaw a rapid growth in emerging markets, managing losses at industry low levels through experienced risk taking and use of innovative risk mitigation tools. The successes of the Intel credit department were featured on a number of occasions at analyst meeting updates etc. Credit and collection results always compared favorably against both industry and other fortune 100 companies.
